I lost focus as I was reading this post, which, by the way, you should consider doing less.

Heard that too, sounded like he put all his energies in to making sure his team won that game-him jumping into McCarron's arms was about the most "un-Saban" thing he's ever done & kinda makes you believe how important this one game was to him.

Even the best have to make excuses every now and again.. What's he supposed to say ? "Gus high schooled the shite outta me and my entire staff !"

It really does seem like LSU is this staff's Super Bowl. I do hope that starts trending more towards Auburn.

I can see that. I personally think it was something else though, and that is the team got tight at the end of the season. Going for a threepeat and so close to it, I think the pressure finally got to them. I believe the game tonight will be a massive beatdown as they can play loose and to their potential again, without pressure. I know that will be hard for many to understand, as very few have ever had a chance to accomplish what they were trying to, much less even a repeat.

Refs cost us the game, not anything else.

When he jumped lovingly into McCarron's waiting arms, consummating their love affair, I looked over to my buddy and said "That is a BAD omen for Alabama football". Two years in a row, treating LSU as the Holy Grail cost them a game.
