re: Should the bowl game win minimum be increased to 8 games?

I remember when 8 win teams started going to bowls in the 70s .... and the traditional programs who had dominated the New Year's day bowls bitched like crazy - just like they bitched when scholarships were reduced.

Now it's gone to the extreme - yeah, there are too many bowls. Sending Ga Tech to a bowl last season with a missing record just to satisfy the TV inventory requirement was bravo sierra.

They need to reduce the number of bowls and raise the minimum requirement to 7 wins.

Most bowls are money losers to the programs.
