It will be rare to get a second team in. It will be the top four conference champions most years. It was created after Bama got in in 2011 to prevent it from happening again.

True, but I think both LSU and Bama would have made it in 2011. That would have been one of the few years 2 from the SEC would have made it.

They specifically agreed it wouldn't just be the 4 conference champion ,but the 4 best teams. Whatever that means

Bama is at worst, viewed as the 3rd best team in the nation.

Don't agree. The last three years in a row, two SEC teams would definitely be in the play-off.
