shocking to see this once proud program where they are currently...

Who's to blame? Has to be Urban Meyer leaving under the circumstances he did. Muschamp hasn't lit the world on fire obviously but he inherited a program in deep shite already. Injuries are surely a factor but damn...Mighty Florida in this situation?

Never saw this coming.

You know you'd have to look all the way back to 2012 to find their last BCS bowl appearance right? They had a ridiculous amount of injuries which their already stagnant offense couldn't afford to take. They'll be alright.

All will be well this time next year when we have Petrino or Strong.

Things can change quickly. Auburn won zero SEC games last season.....

Florida 2013 reminds me of Auburn 2012.

Dismiss them at your own risk.

Well....LSU comes to the Swamp min 2014 and Id be very careful if I were you.....cause we are going to spank that tigah azz every which a way. And don't hoot and holler about us being 4-8..we had carnage upon carnage in injuries....

We will be loaded in 2014 and if we can avoid injury bug on the OL we will be looking to go to Hotlanta the first Saturday in December.

A lot of Florida fan's did, 2012 was Fool's Gold. Will Muschamp was always a horrible fit for UF and while he could be a great, maybe even Saban level coach someday, that time is a decade or so off in the future-- Florida's not the place to have your Michigan State (Saban), Bowling Green (Meyer) or Duke (Spurrier) years, the program's too big and the pressure and expectations are too high-

1) He should have been hired to coach an Ole Miss/Arky level program first if he wanted to break in at the BCS Conference level not a Florida/LSU/Alabama level program- somewhere he could get his feet wet and figure out how to be more than a great defensive coordinator.

2)A blue collar Bama-lite approach frankly isn't Florida football and even when he won it pissed off a large segment of our fanbase-- he is as big a mismatch for Florida's football culture as Rich Rod was for Michigan or an Air Raid HC would be at Bama-- somethings clash so hard with the established culture of a place that unless you're elite right away you just have no chance.

They are just one year off a pretty respectable year in which they beat both A&M and LSU

This year a limited offense, some injuries, and a tough schedule ended up snowballing on them. I like Boom but next year they will have to turn it around significantly or he's going to be in trouble.

Well, every great SEC program has these kind of stretches. Nothing really surprising.

Examples:

LSU in the 90's had 5 straight losing seasons. Hallman was terrible.

Bama sucked most of the shula years losing every game shula coached against LSU, AU, and I believe UT.

Tenn has sucked for a while.

UGA was 3-15 against AU, UF, UT under Goff and barely had a winning record overall.

AU has been the most consistent and has not really had a down period as bad as the rest of the Big 6 since the 1970's, but we were pretty terrible under Barfield.

UF is sorta like AU at this point. They will be back soon enough. Meyer left the program in bad shape talent wise and this is Muschamp's first HC position. He either figures it out next year or UF will get someone who will and turnarounds can happen fast either way.
