For those out there hoping some new teams step up in the 2014 National Championship race to unseat the top dogs, don't hold your breath. Florida State, Alabama and Auburn are clearly heads above everybody heading into next season. Granted it's expected that several non-senior players from these three schools will likely be leaving early to play on Sundays next fall. Regardless, perusing the depth charts and understanding what recruiting has done at these football factories clearly separates these monsters of the gridiron from the rest of the pack.

Did they just copy and paste this year's final BCS rankings and make slight edits?
1. A&M won't/shouldn't be ranked that high.
2. How is UF ranked at all?
3. Why would Bama be above Auburn given the returning starters?

How do you put a team that did not make a bowl game in the top 25 to start the year?

It wouldn't be a legit pre-season top 25 if Notre Dame wasn't in it. That alone makes this legit.

Given that this is the second year in a row than an unranked (AP preseason poll) team is playing in the title game, this is a stupid statement to make.
Heck, this year's title game teams weren't even ranked in the preseason top 10!

#2?
Between 10 and 15 is accurate.

Any pre-season poll with GA not in the top 10 is clearly unworthy of serious consideration.

This is a friggin pointless post. Nobody knows who is leaving for the NFL and we also have lots of recruits up in the air. Next topic....

Why do we keep getting ranked so highly? Does no one realize we're gonna have like maybe 50 scholarship players?!?! Probably less?
It just sets us up for failure, then everyone gets to say, see USC sucks. No, we just have half the scholarship players our opponents do.

With what defense?
Of course with the Johnny show gone, maybe we can actually see some running backs get used for running.
