Isn't DSG an early enrollee?

Can't imagine DSG is a threat to bolt. He's an early enrollee and it is the dead period. I don't see him suddenly deciding to move to Idaho to follow a coach after being a solid A&M commit for a year. He's probably about to move to his place in CS.
I am not concerned at all about this. I liked Yates and think he was a good recruiter and coach but he wasn't someone irreplaceable, very mixed bag.
For instance, he is known as a good recruiter and our LA guy but in the end we still haven't really beaten out LSU for anyone head to head from LA. Even with Speedy who seems to be our best chance it is well known that Sumlin is personally involved in that. It's about closing, not being considered.
As a position coach you can look at Harris and maybe Hurd and Ellis as guys that have developed but Raven, Matthews, and even Everett have regressed. Everett was our strongest DB but seemed like a liability by the end of the year, the CB/Safety switch clearly was screwing him up. Some can be blamed on the Front 7 for sure but we also got flat out beat a lot in the secondary this year and it wasn't from lack of speed or aggressiveness, it was guys being in the wrong place, taking bad angles, or just not following their assignments. I hold Yates to a higher standard as well because he had the stronger talent/experience mix than the DL or LB's and he held the Co-DC Title.
I am also excited because there are multiple enticing candidates out there. Cooper, Akina, Robinson, the Edna Karr coach, the NU guy, etc. There are at least 5 guys that should be available that look like home runs and that we should be able to get if we want them.
The guys I wouldn't want to lose on this staff are Beaty, McKinney (esp now that he is going back to RB's), Price, Jackson, Spav, and Snyder. Yates was probably after that with Banks and Anderson. Hagen hasn't shown me anything but I will give him a mulligan for this year due to what he inherited but if the LB's aren't a BIG improvement next year he needs to go.
