I would suppose that this call came from higher than ESPN on not airing it initially.
ESPN is owned by the Disney family of networks, which has been pretty open in the past supporting Gay rights and such. (TeamCornbread )
Personally, I wouldn't have called and complained, but if the Hospital is paying the money to run the advertisement, shouldn't they be able to run whatever the frick they please?
