Historically Arkansas is better but hasn't been very good in damn near 2 decades now.

They have the history, facilities, and wealth to get back in quickly so they are not is a bad place to start.

Granted, not the same level, but Notre Dame languished in football for decades before getting back in the public last year. programs with history do not have to reinvent the wheel, they just need get a better shape. In 2013, a down Hog program still finished in the Top 20 in attendance. Missouri while good, was still averaging almost 2,000 fewer fans per game.

BWA is a good atmosphere and in size they are tops in the country when they are at the top. just like the large SEC football stadiums create unique environments once you approach 80 - 90 thousand in seating, the same follows in basketball for schools with venues seating 18 thousand or more. Those extra fans create a multiplier effect for the in game atmosphere. I loved Stokley (Vols) and Memorial (Dores) but TB with those extra seats just make it a different level.

While that may be true, Mizzou currently has the country's longest home winning streak, with wins over FL, KU, AR and UCLA during that time. There's nothing wrong with Mizzou's home court. I'm sure when BWA is rocking it's amazing, but regardless of size, when you get two good teams in a building it's electric. Mizzou/Florida last year and Mizzou/KU the years prior (especially in 2012) were bonkers.
