Im really surprised at how much yall take for granted that we give a collective frick.. There might be 20 crazed posters on this site that care, but I haven't heard it mentioned, and I hang around some pretty rabid LSU fans

Well surely you know those 20-30 message board posters represent the LSU fanbase.
These guys live in a bubble where message boards and offseason football consume life.
My Facebook full of LSU fans sure doesn't seem to give a frick. I doubt most of them even knew anything was going on.
Now back to replacing real life with the Internet...

I saw tons of frick given in the airplane thread on the cc board. Sure they tried to save face and say they were trolling after it was over. But there was ton of anger in that thread by several fanbases.
