So, we're five seasons down in the Muffin era. How do you rank the teams?

1. 2010, obvious decision here. Damn good running game with a big oline up front and a defense with future NFL talent at all three levels. This team was one break or two in the AU and Arky games from being in a BCS bowl.

2. 2011, there was a drop off here from the previous year but I feel like this was a better that will look better as the years go on. They gave Bama and LSU their two best games outside of 9-6 and were a few injuries from 8-4. Relf stays healthy and we have some stability up front and I think we'd have beat AU and USCe.

3. 2013, things looked bleak at the start of the season but I feel like this team was probably the 1st since 2009 to be head and shoulders better at the end of the year than where they started. Dak got a year under his belt and the youngest defense in the SEC(fairly sure on this) got better each and every week. If Dak plays vs. Arky I think we look a LOT better in that game and that last three game stretch would be a little more shiny. This year's Egg Bowl win was probably the grittiest win I've seen from the program under Mullen since Florida in 2010. Bowl game is ahead and next year looks good.

2009- Yes, I would rank them above 2012, especially if we're considering how the two teams finished up. 2009 was a physical team that in the end was a 7 win-bowl caliber team that was shafted by a shite schedule. If we had even remotely better QB that year we'd be talking about a 5 year bowl streak. I kind of get the same feeling heading into the bowl and next season that the 2009 gave us heading into 2010. Lots of people will underrate us but I think we're going to be real salty next year. In any case, this was a team that played with heart, hit people in the mouth, and were competitive in every game save for Bama.

2012-

This was a 5-6 win team with perhaps the easiest SEC schedule in history. As good of a year Russell had stat wise I think the fact that we passed so much turned us into a finesse team, which is not where the program should look for an identity. The team wasn't competitive down the stretch and down right quit in the A&M, Bama, and Ole Miss games. We were on that same course this year until Russell went down vs. OSU and we got back to the Relf offense.

What say you fellas? Here's to hoping we're saying 2014 is #1 at this time or later next year.

I'm with you on all 5.

I'll be really disappointed if 2014 isn't #1 or #2 as well...

Very well placed. I like your decisions with 4 and 5. 2009 team played with hate in their hearts..
