Chicken allows baseless rumors to fly and everyone to fantasize and go crazy and troll, but only when it pertains to Saban/Bama. Hell he joins in on it himself. Any other time, that shite doesn't fly. This isn't really debatable.

But there's nothing we can do about it. It's an LSU-based site, and they're biased, and if we don't like it we can leave. And whining about it will just fuel their fire. So we might as well just shutup and either dwi or ignore it.

I'll go ahead and give a shout-out to whatever LSU fan wants to lurk this board and then try to quote this post later to prove that I'm scared and butthurt or something. Hello friend.

They are a special breed. Now as for us, I can't decide if we are butthurt or just melting down. Which is it, can anyone help me?

You guys need to realize Saban going anywhere has helped tigerdroppings grow more than anything, this goes back to Saban leaving LSU in 2005. In some ways, Saban's employment decisions have built tigerdroppings into what it is today. IIRC Chicken has explained this in one of his New York Times articles. Don't take the Saban talk too seriously and accept it for what it is, something everyone WANTS to talk about.

Peace out.

ETA: from the NYT article

quote:

F***** — a Houston resident who grew up in New Orleans and is known as Chicken to the regulars on his board — said that his site registered 12 visitors in its first month. Word soon spread, and other L.S.U. fans started visiting the site regularly. But it was not until early 2007 that Tiger Droppings really began to get popular. “What really drove a lot of traffic to the site was Saban being hired by Alabama,” Fiegel said about the Crimson Tide hiring Nick Saban, the former L.S.U. coach. “That led to a lot of their fans coming over to Tiger Droppings to gloat and rub it in that they’d stolen our old coach.” The infusion of trash-talking Alabama fans led Fiegel and his brother, Brad, his partner in running the site, to create a special forum where Alabama fans, along with fans of other teams, could congregate. It became so popular that the brothers eventually made it its own site, SECrant.com. According to Google Analytics, Tiger Droppings and SEC Rant combined to garner over 55 million page views in the past month, and a number of volunteer moderators have been enlisted to help police the various forums.
