It's not like you would be able to find many OU fans on either the West or East Coast so why would there be many Oregon fans so far away from the school?
There were so many Okies that migrated to California, they used to have a station that broadcast their games in Fresno.

Oregon is too much of a Johnny come lately to have a strong fan base spread across the country (and outside their home region) the way that Bama, OU, Texas, Ohio State, Nebraska, and perhaps a few others do. That's not to slight Oregon, just to point out the reality of the situation. Add to the fact that the Sugar Bowl is plausible as a driving trip from Oklahoma, and it's a no brainer. Maybe if this were the Orange Bowl, you could make a case for Oregon--I still think that any bowl not on the west coast would view OU as the stronger draw.

Let's just see how ticket sales go down in OK and in OR.

If Oregon has a stronger showing for the Alamo Bowl than OU for the Sugar Bowl that will speak volumes.

Since you're referencing OU on the radio, do you mind referencing the years and radio station. Talking Steinbeck, Grapes of Wrath and dust bowl is pretty damn funny for the SEC rant. I am having a tough time guessing if your closer to 20 years old or 90.
