If this is a real question, probably has something to do with the pending Big XII/SEC matchup that will start next year for the Sugar Bowl.

Rook - excellent point. One consequence of the four team playoff is the bowls seeking out the best deals possible when not a playoff venue.
SEC - Big XII is a great match-up for future Sugar Bowls.
