I think you're onto something with this. Not to take anything away from Auburn's players (that line and Mason are damn good), but a lot of the defenses that Auburn faced simply weren't prepared to defend Malzahn's spread-diamond-pistol-where-the-frick-did-the-ball-go offense. I have to think that FSU will look a lot sharper on D and will make reads faster and more accurately.

This does remind me of Nebraska under Osbourne who couldn't win a bowl game to save his life once he switched to the option offense. Teams were able to stop it because they had a lot of time to prepare.
