I think a lot of the top tier bowl games will be going the way of the Super Bowl soon enough where most of the tickets will be for boosters and sponsors and everyone else has to scramble for tickets or win them.

That's the model.

The stadium money is all gravy anyway ... TV is where the real money is, of course. But a sold-out stadium with a lot of electricity does appeal to the TV viewer. Therefore, they will always make sure tickets go to those fans willing to travel and there will always been a select group of fans willing to travel for the big bowl games.

BCSNCG tickets went for well over 1k in 2010, and are currently just over 1k right now. Can't imagine doing tickets to 2 separate playoff games in a year.
Have they released into yet on the timing of the playoff games and where they are going to be? Is it going to be something crazy like Rose bowl 1 weekend and then orange bowl the next weekend or something? Or are they going to group them in the same city?
