RB-Boyd over Davis based on right now. If Davis has another great year will be solid 1 or 2. Boyd JR and SR had 2500 combined yards as RB.
WR-Ellington big over Newton.1400 yds and 14 TDs receiving for Ellington over Newton's 400 yds and 3 TDs receiving.
Ace at PR and Culliver at KR, maybe slide Vic Hampton in at CB (2 solid years locking down one corner position) over Culliver who switched between S and CB his whole career. Nice team good work by OP!

Very compelling argument. Now I did think of Boyd initially, but Boyd never led the SEC and Davis' ceiling is higher, so I made the call for Davis. Davis will be over 3000 all purpose by the end of next season. You could absolutely make a valid argument for Boyd though.

Lots of love for Ellington in this thread, and he's great, so it's understandable. Wasn't Newton the first USC player to ever have over 1000 yards passing, 1000 yards receiving and 1000 yards rushing? Newton could be playing in the pro's had we ever just put him somewhere and stayed with it. The problem was he was our best offensive weapon and we had to move him around.
Newton would have to be on the All Spurrier Era team, even if it was just for All Purpose. He could do anything we asked him to do.
