This era is coming to an end; the playoff will be weighted towards conference champs (1 SEC team out of 4). We likely won't see another stretch of dominance like we just went through. not just one team (although Bama certainly put an exclamation point on it), but conference-wide: Fla, LSU, and Bama winning multiple titles, and Auburn getting in on the fun too. There's a slim chance this season still for Auburn to rack up another, or for Mizzou to add their name to the roster (if they do, how smart will their decision to join the SEC look?). Tennessee, too, should be remembered, as they won the very first BCS title (who'da thunk it then, that we were going to take it over?)

It's kinda a shame that South Carolina, and Georgia especially, never quite made it. You have to wonder if we'll be able to sustain, or if the new playoff system will allow parity back into college football. There's always a chance that teams like, say, Bama and Florida St will hammer each other in one semifinal, only to lose the next game against a weaker foe, due to injuries and fatigue

Here's to the best stretch in SEC football history

I guess only 5 of the big 6 can chime in on this thread. Sorry Georgia, although I still love the 80's

Only member of the Big 6 that didn't get a title. I would blame underachievement but the simple truth is Richt just never good put it all together.

In but I don't care about exhibition games that don't go into any NCAA record books. The bcs title is the most subjective title in American sports.
