Missouri will win this game? They seem like the better team to me. Obviously, Auburn won 2 ridiculous games back to back that could've ended up either way. Missouri was 1 shitty field goal kick away from being undefeated and playing for a spot in the Natty Championship. What says da rant?

I don't think any Auburn fans are writing off Mizzou.

I don't think its a gimme game for Auburn either. Mizzou has a great shot to win it.

I think Missouri wins. Auburn has been skating on thin ice for a while now. I don't see how anyone can be confident in Auburn to say for sure they will win.

They've needed two miracles to get there.

I agree, I think they'll win this. Their D line is legit and could be the difference maker.

Mizzou was a shitty FG away from being undefeated. AU was a stiff dew away from being undefeated. What a shame this couldn't be a #1 vs. #2 SECC.

Most Au fans in Auburn Saturday were wanting to play USCe, fwiw.

Apparently nobody, and I am clearly a Mizzou fan. That's just fine, too. We've been overlooked all year. We were not even in the preseason top-25. Outside of the SoCar game, I think we've beaten the spread every single week. Coach Doltz has picked us to lose every week, but we just keep rolling, and will be the SEC champ in about 76 hours from now. Now if Michigan State can win, we SHOULD be playing for the BCS title, although I think we'll get hosed and 'Bama will play the 'Noles.

the line is like 2 or 3 points... there are tons of people who think Mizzou has a great shot at winning.

I think part of the issue is that the discussion all week as been whether Auburn should jump OSU when what everyone really means is whether the SEC Champion should jump OSU.

I think most people see Auburn and Mizzou as fungible in that regard. As for the head to head matchup, I don't see anyone taking an Auburn win for granted.

I think Mizzou wins. But after last week, and all of the weird favorable shite that seems to go AU's way...?

Malzahn jinxed Auburn with his Marshal needs to be considered for Heisman talk. Heisman bad karma.

Mizzou wins.

Mizzou has a very good team. They have a nice shot to win this. Auburn just played a very physical game and had the ultimate ending. The game and celebration could wear a lot of people down.

Mizzou just faced a mobile QB in Johnny Football and won (though something has seemed a little off with Johnny Football since the start of the LSU game...maybe not though). Mizzou had the fastest D-line that I saw in the SEC this year, but it seems they would be more useful against a typical drop-back passer. Auburn's style of offense is really challenging with their pace when they get it going.

This seems like a toss-up to me. This is Missouri's first time playing in the SECCG, so that could impact them. But the media overlooking Mizzou instead of talking about their NC possibilities could really fire them up. As Les Miles would say, "Undefeated in regulation..."

Personally, I think we're playing with house money. And most MU fans, if they were honest with you, would say they're hoping the third time is the charm. In the last 7 years we've been to three CCG in two different conferences now. The first two didn't end well, the first because we couldn't run the ball (especially after we lost our starting RB for the second half), and the second when OU and Sam Bradford curb stomped our nonexistent defense.

A lot of people have given HCGP a lot of grief over that, but to his credit he's adjusted and worked to address those issues. Both areas are vastly improved since those first two games. That's what gives a lot of us hope or confidence we can get over the hump. This team can run the ball and the defense has a pulse. This team is much more well rounded than the first two, and without the fatal flaws, although this team has some imperfections as well.

As far as the media, everyone was shocked about the way Auburn won the game with Bama, and they certainly look the part of the team of destiny right now. So I can understand the bandwagon that's formed for them, and good for them. I don't begrudge them the attention-they've earned it, even if you could call they way they have done it pretty fortunate and rare, to put it mildly.

Besides, we've been playing the underdog/chip on the shoulder routine all year, you expect us to stop now?
