After getting over the loss, realizing that this will be our 5th BCS game appearance in Saban's 7 years here puts things into perspective. This is an unheard of run that is showing no signs of slowing down. Losses happen, but don't worry, this dynasty will keep rolling. We have consistently recruited at the highest level. We have the players, we have the staff, and now we will hopefully have even more fire and passion heading into next season. I think having Malzahn at Auburn will push Saban even harder which is a great thing for us IMO.

I agree. That was just a tough way to lose it

As much as I hate to admit it, you are dead on...the IB needs wins like that one, from both AU and Bama. It was definitely heartbreaking to say the least, but in the end it only pushes the legacy of the IB up a few more levels past any other rivalry game being played. For all the reasons you mention, Bama will be better b/c of this loss.

Alabama fans have been spoiled since 2008.
Your positive perspective is nice, but it is not the only one.

Since 2009, Alabama is 4-5 versus SEC West teams that finish the season ranked.
In order, wins include a 9-4 LSU, 9-4 Mississippi State, 10-3 LSU, and currently 9-3 LSU.
In order, losses include 11-2 LSU, 14-0 Auburn, 13-1 LSU, 11-2 Texas A&M, and currently 11-1 Auburn.
What's your take on that?
We can appreciate the opportunities that Alabama has taken advantage of and enjoy the glory but let's not disregard that 4-5 record.
