So, Sarkisian >>>>>>> Sumlin, cuz I am hearing (from butthurt idiots) that Sumlin was the one making the full-court press to get the SC job, but SC said no.

Makes no sense.

Fans are used to a pro style type offense (They don't veer to far from it anyway). I am sure they thought the fan base would go ape shite bringing Sumlins style of O. Is just my guess based on what I know about USC. They are a very traditional school in that sense.

Don't mind some on this board. Many LSU fans here were CONVINCED that Saban was begging for a way to come back to LSU after his first year at Alabama. Then it was Saban to Penn State. Then Saban to Texas a few years earlier. Then Saban to the Cowboys. Then Saban to Cleveland. All the expert insiders had 1st hand knowledge that the Sabans were miserable in Tuscaloosa but for some reason Saban was turned down time and again by teams he was supposedly leaving for. Seven years later the Sabans are stuck and are now lobbying hard again for the Texas job if you believe some on these boards.

Sark is a good coach. I think he will get them back to where they need to be, and then probably head to the NFL.

I stated repeatedly (in addition to my sarcastic jabs of "he gone") that Sumlin would NOT leave for SC because it is not that much of a better job than A&M to make the move. Everybody who disagreed....please rid the earth of yourselves.

They might have offered Sumlin instead if he proved he could coach this year. Obviously Sumlin would have jumped at the oppurtunity, but he wasn't given it.

Why in the hell would anyone want Sumlin? He went 8-4 with a heisman trophy winner.

Most elite programs want better than 8-4, I mean look at Texas. They are clamoring for Mack Browns head.

On the other hand aggy goes 8-4, the head Coach gets 5M+ a year for 6 years. LMFAO
