Mizzou: A solid team in the Big 12 the last few seasons (averaged 9 wins the last 7 years in the conference). Changed their offensive and defensive philosophies to better fit the SEC after a season filled with devastating injuries.
Texas A&M: Had terrible coaches until Sumlin, and Johnny Football didn't play in the Big 12.
Neither team's success in the SEC has anything to do with the Big 12.
