Has there been discussion within your family that you're an idiot?
Missouri has recently played in two Big 12 title games. They weren't a "perennial loser". They were an above average (sometimes mediocre, sometimes pretty good) program.
Texas A&M has JFF. They'd have gone undefeated in the Big 12-2-2+2 last season and probably beaten Notre Dame in the national title game (Alabama would have been left out). But playing the SEC, they didn't even make it to the conference title game.
