Here you have it. This is how were're supposed to be in today's "Errbody gets a participation trophy" atmosphere. God forbid someone identifying and pointing out areas that need improvement.

The first thing out of saban's mouth was taking personally taking the blame. ESPN likes to create drama where drama doesn't exist. With the exception of live game coverage espn is nothing more than a sports version of 'keeping up with the kardasians' or 'honey boo-boo.'

No not at all, it's a football game and we have a great team. LSU fans have embarrassed themselves over the last couple of days. If I were an LSU fan and an admin I would delete these crybaby threads by pussy LSU fans. It was a little funny when Saban first came to Alabama but the constant attempt to bash Saban and pray to God he leaves Alabama has become pathetic. You losers need to get a life!

You corndogs are goddamn hilarious. Yall are so beat down and disgraced that all you can do is live vicariously through the team that can actually beat Alabama.

What happened in cow town on saturday hurts like hell and will make me sick whenever i think about it for the rest of my life. But life could always be worse. I could have woken up this morning an lsu fan.

I don't like Bama or Saban but Coachman is a DICK. Someone at ESPN needs to remind that arse that's he's not at WWF anymore.

As a Bama fan, I think Saban deserves a lot of the blame, few Bama players had a perfect game, one that did was Drake. I think that was Saban's biggest mistake, followed by decision not to kick the FG.

Saban should show up at ESPN with The Shield and have them beat down Jonathan Coachman.

Hey Gumptards, I was only saying that I was surprised that ESPN would diss your boy. Talk about seeing what you want to see.

But now that I've read the responses....

Alabama Coach Nick Saban’s Folly: Great Coaches Protect Their Players

quote:

Alabama’s Iron Bowl defeat was Nick Saban’s fault, but instead of taking the blame, he threw his players under the bus. They deserve a coach who’ll stand behind them after a loss.

quote:

Saban wins a lot of football games. He’s a great football coach. But he’s a college coach who seems to have forgotten he’s not coaching in the pros. He’s reduced the joy of sport to what he famously calls “the process,” which seems as apt an indictment as any critic could muster.

quote:

It doesn’t have to be this way. Coaches like Auburn’s Gus Malzan, Ole Miss’s Hugh Freeze, Vanderbilt’s James Franklin, and LSU’s Les Miles make you want to love the sport because they love the sport. They are open and visible about their love for their players. In October, after heavily favored LSU lost to Ole Miss and his star quarterback had one of the worst nights of his career, Les Miles took all the blame, saying in classic Miles style, “I did a piss poor job preparing this football team to play in this game.”

quote:

That’s what Saban should have done. He should have shifted the blame from his field goal kicker to himself. Saban’s paid millions of dollars to take the heat. Instead he offered no comfort to a broken-hearted kid who was receiving death threats. That’s shameful and a moment that should give pause to every athlete thinking of playing for Alabama and every parent who expects a coach to look out for their son.

Never heard the man blame specific players and I did hear him take the blame.
