I thought the players played up to their abilities. The cornerbacks were inferior all year like they had been which was nothing new (unless you are in the 1% who thinks we have an overabundance of stockpiled CB talent). AJ and the WRs started off slow but played very well after the 1st quarter. We just seemed to play into Auburns strength of running into their Dline without the big physical Lacy type back who can pound it. We needed to open things up a bit more with our WR talent and vet QB.

We weren't aggressive enough at the end of the 2nd half going for points and we weren't aggressive enough at the end of the game and could have made it further up field for a bit shorter field goal. Combine that with the other bad coaching calls on 4th down etc and you lose to a well coached hard working but inferior Auburn team on a fluke play. You let teams hang around you will get beat. But this one is on the coaches.

We had to be one of the worse 3rd down teams in the country this year. We ran short passes behind the chains and ran right into 7 & 8 man lines.

I hope we figure out something different with all the running back and receiver talent that will be in the offense next year.

That basically killed us all year. No telling what our ppg average would have been if we did not give the ball back to the other team so much.
