I love how you ignore the crippling impeachment of your shitty source and the fact that Schefter said last night that USC only turned to Sark after Sumlin was out of play.
The LA Times corroborates.
LA Times
No one is hiring Steve Sarkisian over Kevin Sumlin.
USC wanted Sumlin, they made it known to his reps. He used their interest as leverage for a raise. In the end he declined the opportunity to even interview at USC. In other (very clear) words, he chose TAMU over USC.
And dipshit, of course USC isn't publicly announcing how it lost Sumlin. Why are you so retarded?

USC Athletic Director Pat Haden eventually zeroed in on Texas A&M Coach Kevin Sumlin, the source said, but Haden could not meet with him until after the Aggies’ regular season was complete.

Completely false. Sumlin was never offered the job, and no school would offer someone the job without an interview.
Also you’re way off on the package being offered. I’ve had these sources on the USC search since late September and have been hearing the same narrative since then. Sumlin was a candidate but was never the leader. Was in a group of main guys being considered.
Also, Texas A&M sources have since confirmed that Sumlin was considering leaving for a while.
