All you really need to understand about the Sumlin contract are these few things;
The Ags have been starved for winning football for a decade or more. He brought that in year one.
Great coaches recruit great players and Sumlin is killing it on the recruiting trail, along with a couple of key assistant coaches.
The Texas Aggies have the money. (see 1/2 Billion stadium improvements, 3/4 Billion in former student donations in 2012, PUF (look that one up), etc. Don't worry about the Ags wasting their money foolishly on an "average" coach.
Tip of the hat to Bama, The Tigers, The Tigers and The Tigers this year. Just don't get too use to kicking A&M's underclassmen defense around for long.
