The whole Chris Gaines thing soured me on GB. Dude knew how to promote himself and sell albums though. Guess that's what it's all about in the end.
But as far as great country singers, he's not even Top 10.

No. He sprinkled fairy dust on cowboy boots and used a generic pop formula to sell to a mindless mainstream that prefers music to leave no mysteries, no poetic elements to figure out, no real true pain to feel.
