it should be:

1) Bama - undefeated and picking up steam as the season progresses.
2) Missouri - one loss due to a missed 24 yard FG in the second OT (USC made a 40 yard FG) and 10 wins by at least 2 touchdowns
3) Auburn - could be over-rated this high when you look at their season. Was never closer than 2 TD down against LSU and won very close games against WSU, MSU, UGA, and A&M.
4) USC - 2 losses in a down SEC East. They deserve credit for rallying to win @ Missouri but were very fortunate. Their early season loss to UGA was when UGA was healthy.
5) LSU - 3 losses in a fairly strong West - best win of the year was clearly against A&M. They look like an improving team with huge potential on both sides of the ball but their lack of maturity shows when they get outworked by Ole Miss all game and against Bama in the second half. No shame in the early season loss to UGA
6) UGA - 4 losses in a down East including to Vanderbilt. They have two quality wins against USC and LSU but they have been impaired by loss of leadership and injuries (as shows when you realize they escaped against Tenn and Florida rather than dominated either team). They shouldn't be penalized for the early season loss to Clemson as much as for their performances against Vandy, Fla, and Tenn.
7) Texas A&M - their strength (JFF esp) and weakness (defense) is fairly clear. Still boast an 8-3 record in the SEC despite losses to the top three teams in the West.
8) Ole Miss - 3 wins, 4 losses in SEC play. Their quality wins are against LSU and arguably Vanderbilt (the 9 seed). The win against Texas was good for them until you realize BYU beat them by a similar margin the week before. They are however a team that looks better than last year and worlds better than two years ago.
9) Vanderbilt - A product of a down SEC East. They are 4-4 in SEC play with losses to middle of the road SEC West teams (Ole Miss and A&M). Credit them for taking advantage of a beat up UGA team and beating terribly down Tenn and Florida programs... but hold your nose when you look at Florida and Tenn this year.
10) MSU - 5-6 record, close wins over Kentucky and Arkansas are their two SEC wins. No subjective penalty should be applied for the early season loss to Oklahoma State but that may keep them from bowling this year
11) Florida - worst year of football in 40 years but still better than Tennessee this year.
12) Tennessee - new coach, lots of turnover, recruiting looks good, product on the field is terrible
13) Arkansas - winless in SEC play, shows effort at times but undergoing major changes across the board
14) Kentucky - terrible, winless in SEC play, 2-9 overall with wins over western kentucky and alabama state
