One of Georgia's radio announcers was worried that last week's game could lead to 2 losses because Georgia would be down from losing a game like that.

No way.

I used to play competitive tennis. Losing the way Georgia did last week is the most aggravating way to lose.

It happened to me several times. I'd come back from a 5-1 deficit and take a 6-5 lead, then lose in the tie-breaker. That pissed me off more than any other way to lose.

BTW, a couple of times I remember coming back from 5-1 40-love deficits to win. Man, that really pissed off my opponents. I never lost one like that, so I don't know how that one feels like.

I expect Georgia to come out and play like a pissed off team and blow Kentucky out of the water.

We should get to see Hutson Mason for a quarter in this one.

Yeah, I am expecting a one-way bloodbath in our favor. Grantham will send heavy blitzes early and often, and we will burn them with play-action all game long. See y'all there section 308.

Tennis IMHO is one of the most grueling sports on your body and mind at the tournament or "competitive" level,,the difficulty is incredible and the suffering through a battle of attrition is intense...

I hope UGA comes out pissed and proves something but we are talking about a team sport in football with team dynamics...completely different when you're the lone man seeking victory and you have no one to rely on but yourself...we shall see

Most grueling sport on your body? Well let's see... in football you can do serious injury to your brain through numerous concussions. Your knees, elbows, ankles, and basically any joint is put under enormous pressure. But so can tennis. You can get new knees, you can't get a new brain.

Boxing, football, soccer, baseball, basketball, hockey are all more grueling.

I can understand...it's a sport that you have to be able to play at a competitive level to appreciate..not as popular as the team sports we follow in the west..but as a multiple sport athlete I'm relaying my opinion...

grueling - requiring considerable physical or mental "effort"

Grueling

Where to begin? As noted..I said "one" of the most grueling sports on your body...tennis at a competitive level and pro level requires incredible amounts of conditioning, coordination, and strength to endure..(tour de france endurance)...pounding on the legs, ankles, knees, shoulders and elbows from repetitive motion and running not to mention all the other mechanics involved...all done for most on a hard unforgiving surface or a sinister clay surface that is impossible to run and balance on...

Yes, boxing,,and football are by nature violent sports that will inflict "punishment" on the opponent..obviously I wasn't referring to broken bones or brain traumas...I was discussing stressors on the athlete in regards to time, repetition, and balance of load...not toughness

.....you state that all these team sports are more grueling than tennis...As a multiple sport athlete, IMHO that is not true....they are team sports.....there is no comparison between playing a 2-4 hr match you must play by yourself on a 120 degree court with no assistance and little rest time and having to repeat that every day for a week to endure a tournament schedule..

When I say grueling, I consider...constant moving, conditioning, countless repeated mechanics, and stressors...and the mental challenge can be as resource depleting as the physical...

I'll give you boxing and wrestling..as you're on your own and they are super intense on the body and mind and require tons of precision and attrition even in relatively short time spans...and they are not team sports

soccer and basketball are better examples of grueling team sports that consist of very conditioned athletes that repeat mechanics.and are subject to intense attrition...yet... they load balance it as a team...

baseball...no..just no...hell no! although i will say, the most difficult thing to do in all of pro sports is probably lay wood on a 90 plus mile per hour fastball,,but...other than that...i love baseball but there is very little physical activity involved ...and I'm not so sure about hockey...

Football...it's positional...some positions are more grueling, require better conditioning and some are more punishing and challenging than others I would suspect....definitely more injuries involved...it is a team sport however...

Pce...

Avery Williamson is a top tier linebacker for Kentucky, and not one of the guys suspended. He is a very good player and he will make his presence felt tonight.

Golf? Golf is grueling. It's hard drinking a twelve pack in the 100% humidity and 90+ degree weather of SC in the summer and still staying hydrated. Plus hitting on the cart chick is grueling.
