We couldn't stop Sherman. Who thinks we can stop anybody again?

During a critical stretch in the 2nd half we had Nemi, Cannon, Forte, Echols, and Frazier on the court. For those of you keeping score at home, that's 3 white kids (one a walk on and one barely worthy of a scholarship), a JUCO transfer, and a undersized, TO prone true freshman PG. These kids don't have a clue how to play together in Fox's system in the 3rd game of the season. Hell, they practically just met. I can understand Fox needing to figure out who he can rely on, but when you play a lineup like that, I question your will to win.

Mann, Gaines, and Donte have to get more minutes, Morris coming back will certainly help. Nemi and Forte have played pretty well in spurts. Parker needs to step up. Thornton is doing everything he can which isn't much anymore. Those are the only 8 guys worthy of seeing the court right now. Our D has been surprisingly bad and we all knew coming into the year that we lacked a legitimate inside presence. It shows.

It's even more fricked up if you think about it. The army of Tennessee was in a prevent defense under joe johnston (Willie), a popular commander, but the confederate public wasn't happy that Johnson's defensive propensities had ceded 100 miles so Jeff Davis replaced him with the aggressive Hood (CTG), who Braxton Bragg had suggested not out of respect but "necessity" in the current climate. Sherman giggled with joy when this happened and Hoods offensive "blitz at all cost" strategies played right into Sherman's plans and hoods tactics were too complex to fare any better than they did.

Even worse is Hoods dumb arse went to Nashville after Atlanta and got annihilated by using his same strategies and tactics despite the fact that they were just awful.

Rut roh.
