Is Franklin that legitimate of a game changer with this being his first game in what, eight weeks?

Main thing is Franklin is reliable and accurate compared to Mauk. We got some big plays with Mauk under center, but also lots of 3 and outs and generally short drives. He seemed to have trouble reliably making the short throws. I would say our offense is something like a 7/10 with Mauk and an 8, maybe 8.5 with Franklin.

I think so, but we will find out for sure Saturday. If he is just as healthy as he was before the injury, he os definitely a game changer.

If he plays where he left off, the quick answer is yes. The unknown is what effect the time off will have. If he's right back to where he left off, he is a way more efficient QB than Mauk. No knock on Mauk, because Mauk was better than Franklin in his first season, but comparing a senior Franklin to a RSF Mauk is no comparison.
