Auburn comment was spot on

point movement indicator (new this week!)
Like I said, Auburn played a bad 4th quarter, Alabama played a bad game.
Just wondering...

Alabama staying the same is just the result of receiving all the first place votes. It's not that people didn't think they played poorly, just not poorly enough to drop them to number 2.
Auburn only dropped two points, I believe, from 362 to 360, so that's just two voters dropping them from 2nd to 3rd (or a number of other combinations). Negligible, really.

AU played very well but UGA still came within a 'fourth and frickit" play of winning. UA sucked but the game was never really in doubt. In other words, Bama on a bad day is still a couple of scores better than everyone else, whereas AU having a bad quarter might cost them. That's my take anyways.

Could you imagine how incredible A&M would be with a top 10 defense? Unbeatable.

Trying to be unbiased here, but I agree with the power rankings. Just because SCAR beat Mizzou head to head in 2OT doesnt mean they are the better team. You either didnt watch the game or are ignorant if you do not believe that Mizzou beat themselves rather than SCAR.

Conner Shaw was not in for the first half. I did watch the game and Conner Shaw beat Mizzou. If he had played the whole game it would have never gotten to OT.
True Story

Good point, Cheese Grits. CS beat us like a bad dog in the "other Columbia" last season, too. We just don't match up well against Shaw...glad he's a SR

Not necessarily. Mizzou game planned for Dylan Thompson. They were playing some replacement freshmen on D, in the secondary. If they'd game planned for Shaw, they probably would have played differently. They didn't expect to see Shaw, and the freshmen weren't prepared when he came out.
That said, that was the worst game Mizzou had played all year, IMO. They just never really got it together that night, seemed out of synch the entire game. Mauk didn't play that well. Just a bad night.

Mizzou offense just did not deliver that game. I thought they might lose at half time when score was 17-0 Mizzou. That is how bad they were.

I think several other SEC schools think the same about Shaw being a SR. Kid plays banged up and he is a real lift to the rest of the team when he is on the field.
