I too was pissed when it didn't happen but if you're referring to the smoke and no fire before we joined that would be the THIRD time.

1. Had we stayed put before the SWC, we would have been a charter member of the SEC.
2. We got stopped by Ann Richards in 1991. This one really pissed me off the most.
3. Then the false start a year before finally joining.
