It was an exciting week for SEC football.
It's a long gap between worst and second worst team in the SEC, with Vanderbilt(arguably the second worst team in the SEC) defeating Kentucky(arguably the worst team in the SEC) by 16 points. It seems like Kentucky has already packed in for their basketball season or whatever.
And talk about a miracle finish! South Carolina pulled it out in the very end to secure a victory against Florida in a game where they were being completely dominated. South Carolina has heart and their hearts are focused on winning another SEC title, Go South Carolina.
Ole Miss struggled with Troy in a offensive back and forth game. Ole Miss playmakers such as Donte Moncreif and Jeff Scott came through in the end, finally finishing a very underwhelming and worrying performance by the Ole Miss rebels. The Ole Miss rebels allowed 21 pts, the most points allowed by an SEC team against Troy this season.
FUN FACT: Mississippi State has held Troy to the least amount of points by an SEC team this season.
Several weaknesses came to light for the Alabama football team against the Mississippi State bulldogs Saturday night. The Mississippi State defense dominated the line of scrimmage, only giving up a number of yards rushing while their secondary proved to be too much for AJ McCarron. Unfortunately injuries on Mississippi State's offense proved to be the turning point for Alabama, as Tyler Russel was eventually injured and Dan Mullen's staff had to suit up and send out ex-MSU head coach, Sylvester Croom as their third string quarterback.
Auburn yet again barely escaped a deserving defeat after a very underwhelming and questionable game against a heavily demoralized and injured and unranked Georgia team who were just mainly looking for the season to end so that they could lick their wounds.

Our recruiting would say otherwise but it is what it is with what's currently on the roster.
ETA: That Vandy game was quite a bit closer than the final score indicated as well.

uh no. Alabama just being more talented and a better team overall despite the shitty game was the turning point.

I know right, we just find ways to win against ranked teams, unranked teams, it doesn't matter. All we do is win. It's probably why we have the BCS AQ's longest home winning streak and a national Top 4 Winning % over the past 4 years!
