We've got some pretty big receivers as well. Nobody DGB size but Moncrief is 6'3 230 and Treadwell is 6'3 210. Sanders is long but lanky and pretty much everybody else is just average height.

I haven't seen much of Ole Miss, but I watched the first half of the Troy game, and your receivers were pulling everything out of the air. They play like that all the time? If so, we better get to Wallace quick...

Our secondary is the weak link in the defense. They're helped out by the pressure brought by the DL. Having said that, they have improved and some of the young guys have shown promise. Singleton, a juco transfer, has played better after being thrown into the starting role.

I really like your WR's and think they'll get their numbers. The key to slowing them down won't be our secondary, but getting pressure by our DL.

Y'all's right side is where Sam usually lines up if I'm not mistaken. Could be interesting.

Our shortest of our 3starting receivers is 6'4".

Our DBs have shown some improvement. Penton is a true freshman that will be really good in a few years. Gaines is really good at times and other times loses coverage. Simon is bipolar, mostly cycling downwards.

On the plus side, we are one of the leaders in interceptions in the country.

The whole key to our offense is getting the ball into the hands of our playmakers as quickly as possible. We don't care if it's at the line of scrimmage or 20 yards down field. We feel like our WRs can beat more defenses than they can't in open space. And our guys do a wondeful job of downfield blocking on screens.

What is Mizzou's secondary like? I have only seen y'all play 1 qtr of football (USCe, sorry) so I don't know much about y'alls team.

They've gotten better, but are still probably the weakest part of our defense. The strength of the defense is the line, especially the ends. We rotate 4 guys at those 2 spots, and all 4 of them have been SEC players of the week at that position. Best part of that, for us, is that only 1 of them is a senior. Our run defense is excellent, 2nd in the SEC and allows only 111.9 ypg. The secondary allows a lot of yards, but we still only allow 20.2 ppg.

Our defense is also very opportunistic, leads the SEC in turnovers, turnover margin and sacks. We have played something like 30 straight games with a forced turnover, longest streak in the NCAA right now.

One unheralded unit on our team is the OL. It was a major weakness last year, and this year is just the opposite. They're tough and experienced. Maybe no real superstars (outside of center Evan Boehm), but very solid.

Offensively, we're very balanced, averaging 256.8 ypg passing and 235.8 ypg rushing. We use a RB by committee approach, and split the carriers pretty evenly between Henry Josey, Marcus Murphy and Russell Hansbrough. Our starting receivers are 6'4", 6'5" and 6'6", and all very fast.

We can be burned up the middle if our ends are trying to get pressure and misread the play. We can also be hurt by the short screen pass.

Should be a great game!

It's actually been 40 straight games. But your point is still valid.
