My guess is you have attrition of 4 or 5 recruits. One or two will be grades. One or two will look at the players coming in and feel threatened for play time. One or two will be given a bit of a cold shoulder from the coaches and decide to go somewhere else they feel more wanted. A&M went through the same thing last year, though we still ended up with a huge class.
I doubt UT ends up actually oversigning when all is said and done, if they do it is poor management. Folks always forget that there is so much time left before NSD and a lot of recruits take on a new perspective after the season ends. They also forget that the Semester grades will always result in some attrition.
