Oh sure.

With the talent in Louisianna this year, it will be a damn shame if LSU doesn't have the #1 class by far.

Meh, the La. talent is just more top heavy than usual this year, and even then, we would still need to hope that certain out of state guys come on down in order to contend for the #1 class.

Don't forget that Bama's not done yet and we won't be closing with scrubs either.
Both will be ridiculously good classes

LSU has the potential to finish with the most 5 stars in the history of recruiting and yet somehow we'll still manage to be the #2 class. Book it.

Won't finish with the most...USCw had a gargantuan amount under Pete forget the number but it'll never be matched

I think it was like 8 or 9 right?

If we get D'haquille to flip and pull in Adoree Jackson we could be close...
(247 composite)
1. LF
2. Tony Brown
3. Hootie Jones
4. Malachi Dupre
5. Speedy Noil
6. Adoree Jackson
7. D'haquille Williams
8. Clifton Garrett
9. Gerald Willis
Anywhere from 6-9 is a badass class
Don't shoot the messenger

Yeah, forgot about that class. Well, LSU could possibly have the most 5 stars in SEC history then. Right now, if we get everyone we expect/hope to get it would be 8.
Fournette
Speedy
Adoree'(potentially)
Brown
Willis
Garrett
Dupre
Hootie
eta: Forgot about #rideforquille. He won't officially count but that would be insane.

It was 8.
We are in on about 8 right now so if we got Hootie we could tie. Hootie, CG3, GW3, LF, Speedy, Dupre, Tony Brown, and Adoree are all rated as a 5 star by at least one service, all except Hootie by at least 2.
ETA: If you count D'haquille it would be 9.

Looking at that list should remind you how a 5* rating doesn't translate to success at the next level and highly rated recruiting classes don't always yield championships.
