I haven't kept up with Oklahoma lately, but are they having that much trouble recruiting in Texas? I feel like Alabama may have signed more high profile kids from Texas lately, than OU has.

They're still recruiting Texas, but they're competing with Baylor, Tech, and Okie Lite for prospects instead of Texas and A&M. Definitely settling for 2nd tier now. Sumlin and A&M in the SEC is killing them.

they are no longer picking up top Texas kids. It'd incredible how quickly they lost the ability to pick them up

Oklahoma has 6 Texas commits but none with Aggie offers. Last year they had 3 big head to head battles with A&M for DL recruits and lost them all, including Justin Manning who had a brother that played for OU. A&M also took their top defensive recruit, Jordan Mastrogiovani, late in the process simply by offering him. Now they just aren't really a factor.

It has gotten so strong now that A&M is poised to get Steven Parker who is the #1 defensive player in Oklahoma and has a Dad who played for OSU and a Grandad who played for OU.

They've slipped a bit, but that really has to do with taking a national approach. It's a perfect storm so a lot of Aggies keep saying we are hurting the Sooners the most. That's simply not true. We are killng tu head to head and going after those kids, not battling Oklahoma for very many recruits at all.
