I actually don't believe this. NO ONE wants to follow a legend, especially when he may be the GOAT. Impossible standards.

It has more to do with the talent in the state of Louisiana than Miles being a great coach. Alabama doesn't have the same talent so unless the future Bama coach can recruit LA/FL/GA there will be a drop off.
