Denny Chimes and the Quad are a nice central focal point. I don't know if students today use the expression, but at least as far back as 1940, it was said about Denny chimes that "every time a virgin walked past Denny Chimes a brick would fall off."

that is absolute calumny, never ever anyone rumored that ever. Pat Dye was the HC who supposedly threw his wife out of the house without any ... er ... coverings. But Paul Bryant was never anything but dotting about his wife. Shame on you.
