Everyone gets spun up about the fact that this NC-awarding "method" is supposedly aimed at Bama, and misses the true (and truly ridiculous) point, which is showing LSU as having the second-most championships in college football history. 
If that isn't the most LSU thing of all time, I don't know what is. "LSU is really the best program ever if you only count the seasons where we won!"
