LSU didn't want Lacy.

We've heard this time and time again.

You must be deaf then. Nobody said LSU didnt want Lacy. What was said at the time was that LSU didnt recruit him hard because his grades were in such terrible shape. LSU told him "Get your grades up and you have a spot." Alabama said "We'll get your grades up."

Regardless, clearly Lacy is a hell of a RB.

It's a fact. Sorry you don't like it. Lsu did fine with our 2012 rb corp of Ware, Ford, Hill , Hilliard, Magee, Blue.

This is legitimately true though. He was a significant risk in HS for not qualifying academically. We signed Michael Ford in the same class and had Spencer Ware and Alfred Blue on the radar in 2010, and we already had Keiland Williams, Charles Scott and Stevan Ridley on the roster. At the time it looked smart to pass on potentially wasting a roster spot for a non-qualifier at a stacked position.

Turned out to be wrong and I'm glad Lacy has been successful in the League, but we didn't want him. Not 'cause he wasn't good enough, either, just a risky signing at a loaded position at the time.
