long as it isn't to the face what is the difference between that and the "swat" from the "swat and swim" all us good DL learned in high school?

Totally legal. In fact, I showed the Kentucky swat to a friend of mine that was a decent center for my high school team. He is a huge Auburn and Notre Dame fan but his jaw was on the floor after seeing the Kentucky video. He said that lineman are taught to fan your man out like that on inside draw plays and he said the Cyko had perfect form and was just astonished with how perfectly he played it. This all comes from a guy that rarely has anything positive to say about Alabama players.
