We will never consider Missouri a southern state.

There was more misery after the Civil War in our south that didn't affect St. Louis... Birmingham, Philadelphia, Mississippi, Selma to Montgomery, Little Rock, Memphis, Atlanta.. Segregation Now, Segregation Tomorrow and Segregation Forever. Wallace's Stand in Tuscaloosa. Ole Miss. I could go on and on. There are many other things that bind the southern states than just the fricking civil war. Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana and the panhandle of Florida. I really don't feel Virginia or Kentucky are southern. So, there is your south. You just joined a sports conference Missouri. You are as southern as Oklahoma, Kansas and the other mid west states.
