...not to mention that a conspiracy of this magnitude would require literally thousands of people remaining quiet for the rest of their lives, implying government threats of retribution.
You're telling me that of the thousands of people who worked on the supposed Kubrick set, at NASA, the astronauts, government officials...no one ever openly admitted to this massive conspiracy? Even in old age while lying on their death bed, no one ever thought, "It's time the world knew the truth. The moon landing was faked. Kubrick filmed it."

My uncle has worked in Mission Control since the early 1980s as an aeronautical engineer. He spent 30 years working on STS takeoff.
I can tell you with certainty that NASA employees take great offense to the moon landing conspiracy. The conspiracy assumes that NASA employees must constantly lie about their organization's history. The conspiracy assumes that the brilliant people at NASA aren't so brilliant after all...unless you consider hiring movie directors to stage a moon landing. That would indeed be brilliant, but also sinister and pathetic.
Essentially, if you believe in the conspiracy, you're implying that NASA employees aren't brilliant enough to have sent men to the moon.
