You do? I have had access to here since I joined. Albeit I always had Georgia listed as my favorite team so maybe whomever Admin approved my joining the forum auto granted me access here.
I would assume our fair weather fan newbie of an OP was the same.

^This. Though there is 1 and only 1 exception. You grew up a fan of school A but graduated from school B. In such a case it is ok to be a fan of the school you grew up rooting for and your alma mater IMO. Hell I dated a girl for a while who grew up in Alabama and was a die hard Alabama fan yet she graduated from Tennessee. She was loyal to both schools.
However it is obvious the OP is not in such a situation.

I just changed my team to UF for a second and tried to post on their board and was still denied.
Maybe there's some catch in the system where when you first register you are allowed that team's forum. But I've never heard of that..I always though you had to request first.
If that's the case I take back what I said about that earlier, but I'm still not sure I like the cut of this guy's jib.

Thanks Dave. Don't get some of you fans. Since I like UGA football I have to like UGA basketball and baseball too?

You don't HAVE to, but that's like only liking the pitching staff of a baseball team and not liking the lineup. I mean, UGA has more sports than just football. I'm guessing you didn't graduate from UGA did you? Not that it matters, I just see that most of the people who ONLY care about football and nothing else typically didn't attend school there.

I'm rooting for my school to win as much as they can and play as well as they can. Whatever happens, I have no control over. Are you suggesting that since our season is in the toilet we should all pick random other schools to get behind that have better postseason aspirations?

Did I say I stopped rooting for UGA because the season is done? No. I always root for UGA football. Not a fan of baseball Period.
I do get frustrated that the football coaches recruit so well, but basketball recruiting is terrible. If the basketball team makes the NIT I would be happy for them

Look at it this way when I was deciding on a college UGA was my first choice FSU was second but I ended up choosing the military in the end. I went to a school in S.Carolina because I was stationed there
