Assuming this is a serious question - Mizzou would travel extremely well for a game like that. The distance wouldn't matter - easy flight, and not a terrible drive. I'm not sure how the allotment works for that game, but we would sell that out and then some.

i'm betting it's worse that 60/40 bama fans... they're locking down tix as we speak, and MO is a long way from atlanta.

hope I'm wrong, but there were empty seats for their game with FL this past weekend... if they can't show up for a top 25 matchup in columbia, why is anyone to assume they'll travel well for the SECCG?

like bowl games, a lot go local. if the west winner is bama, expect most of those to go to them. They have a large contingent here in ATL

Not sure what the allotments are for this year but many of the tickets were bought well before the season even started. Last year year the cheapest ticket on Stub Hub was around 400 and good seats may be double or triple that number. Last year Georgia was right there and Alabama travels so the ticket price shot up. Alabama may be back (and Auburn has lots of alum in ATL if they are in) so the West demand should be high.

What price (beyond the allotment) would the Mizzou folks pay to "outbid" Bama fans for the seats? If price is no object the stadium could be 50 / 50 but if Mizzou fans will only spend face or below face then the stands could easily swing 75 / 25 with Crimson being the dominant color.

It is times like this when you begin to understand why I discuss attendance all the time in threads. If Kentucky drops out early in the SEC tournament the place turns to a ghost town. If they are in the final you can expect to see 90 / 10 blue in the arena. In baseball the SEC west teams drive the market so the farther they advance the better the numbers look. Vandy has good baseball but LSU drives the price up not the Dores. I was at a Final Four the Lady Vlos were in and had extra tickets for a cousin who could not go in the upper deck that went for about 800 each.

The craziest was when the Hogs were in the CheckerDome in 78' and a guy from UK parted with 2 grand and a Caddy for his tickets. If you are a guest you don't sell but I can tell you it is tempting when you see that stuff happening. With Mizzou so far I just do not get that "price is no object" vibe from the fans I have met in person.
