You asked about why Auburn got hit with a post season ban, tv ban and scholarship reduction.

Alabama got it's own NCAA justice for something that wasn't nearly as bad as Auburn during the Dye era.

This is in fact the only instance of a current player accepting an impermissible benefit, it's very similar to what happened to LSU a couple years ago, or with AJ Green at Georgia who got a 4 game suspension, or with Marcell Dareus who got a 4 game suspension.

This isn't anything like the widespread pay for play Auburn got busted for, and it's a different era now.

This thread won't end up how you imagined it going.
