If it does prove that LSU is better, then it also proves that A&M was better than Alabama. Does it not?
Just answer that question and we can stop carrying on. Was A&M a better team than Alabama in 2012?

no, bama's title says otherwise.
LSU beat aTm head to head and ended up higher in the objective SEC standings.
a last second loss to clemson doesn't change this
