Honestly the Tea Party hasn't been around long enough to judge if they are good for America or not. If they stand by their principles they will be good in the long run if they can expand their influence.
It takes years to know if a certain policy works or not. I'm glad to see someone in Washington that represents the people and follows the Constitution, and also is challenging the establishment.
Don't follow all the negativity spewed by the media. The Tea Party is a good thing...I have a thread on the poliboard discussing my thoughts on why they did the shutdown.
The shutdown didn't hurt the country at all either btw.
